The YPISA method · North Jutland

You don’t have to conquer the water. You have to understand it.

A personal swimming programme for women, built on YPISA’s established approach. You become steadily safer, more aware of your own body — and you feel the progress long before you reach the deep end.

The way through the water

Phase 01

Feeling safe

We start where you are. No deep end, no pressure, nobody watching.

Phase 02

Understanding

You learn how the water lifts you — and why. The fear loses its grip.

Phase 03

Freedom

You swim. And you actually look forward to the next time you get in.

I have been on the edge myself

I am originally from Belgium and live in North Jutland today with my husband and our two children. I studied for social worker at AP Hogeschool in Antwerp, specialising in special-needs education — an understanding I bring into everything I do in the water.

Swimming has always been a large part of my life. As a former competitive swimmer I have many years in the water, and today I help others feel safe in it. I train at Vandhuset and teach at Løkken Svømmehal with the Sømærket club.

For many people the journey in the water starts with a fear that has to be overcome. It is also often where the greatest development begins.

If you have just moved to the area and Danish is still new to you, we can do the whole thing in English.
